Family Newsletter

Hey guys!

I just thought that I would send out the annual fall newsletter on how things are going up here! Always a delight to hear those stories sometime before you get the family Christmas Card, haha!

The kids and I are trying to regroup since Tina left us on our family summer trip to the Jersey Shore. As they say, never trust an auto mechanic wearing a gold watch named Vince! Of course, we all never knew what exactly that meant. For those of you that havent heard the details yet, it involves a blindfold, a pitchfork, three goats, cream cheese, and me and Frank Junior walking in on the whole thing. But that is a story for another time.

I think since then the kids and I have grown a lot closer together. I have made an effort to attend all of Frank Junior's field hockey games, and while I still question his motivation to run around in a skirt whacking a ball, I have to say, it is quite a sport! His team, the Lady Dragons, have been having a Cinderella season of sorts. They were not predicted by anyone to have any sort of a competitive season, in particular since their coach was fired for that whole New Hampshire rest stop incident, but the fill in has done great. Franky really looks up to him, and I can only hope he wont have his heart and hopes dashed like that young Charlie had happen with Coach Bombay in Mighty Ducks (great movie by the way, I suggest you all have a family movie night and watch it!). But the team looks great, and Franky is learning a lot of new skills. Now grants, I am not sure how to crimp ones hair or apply makeup are skills that do much good if he were to follow in the military footsteps of his old man, but Franky always was a free spirit!

As for the girl, Aubette, she has had a bit of a behavioral problem, and that has meant some pretty constant trips to meet with her teacher. Aubette always had that active imagination, but apparently it has gotten to a point where it is disruptive for the other kids in the class. Why, just the other day I had to go in because she ate an entire box of crayons and said "But Daddy, it isn't every day they tell me they love me." I was so mad at her, having to leave work and pick her up, but when you look at her eyes, well you just melt, I'm sure you all know what I mean!

Things with me have been going well. I have been really trying to become a part of the community, escaping the everyday life of a businessman on any chance that I can get. I have really found an awakening through the Lord, and look forward to my weekly Sunday hour of worship. I have even become a lector at my local parish, and I feel that I am really becoming a part of something! In addition, I have taken an interest in the Dragon's Booster Club. I spend time each week working in their mobile takeout window, which allows me to both feed the hungry kids and support the team. I feel a great sense of pride for them and look forward to being a member of the team!
